Our Fall 2023 release! This release bundles some long-time feature requests with a host of bug fixes and performance improvements. It also improves our user onboarding and trial processes, and sets us up for even more improvements in the future to help new users get up and running faster. And speaking of faster; Bommer is now much more performant when interacting with drawing tables. Enjoy :)
NEW:
- Bommer now exports the Fusion 360 Appearance (separate from the material), so you can use Bommer to see your Fusion 360 appearance overrides in your bill of materials. Simply add the Appearance builtin property and away you go!
- We now support adding unflattened (hierarchical) tables to your drawings, via a toggle in the Edit bill of materials table screen. Display hierarchical bills of materials with the same level of fine grained control you have always had with Bommer parts lists.
CHANGED/FIXED:
- Pasting a formula with newlines (like one created in a separate text editor) into the Edit bill of materials command now works as expected.
- Editing exisiting drawing table structure (like adding a property or changing Combine By) used to flicker the editable Item # column on and off. No longer!
- Speaking of drawing tables, they should be a lot faster to interact with, especially in models with large design parameter sets.
- In some rare cases, designs with a lot of linked components may cause Bommer to crash when opening or exporting the bill of materials. That’s been fixed, sorry about that!
- Reinstalling Bommer on Windows used to require a manual step to delete program files before running the installer again. That has also been fixed, so you can reinstall just by using the installer file.
