Spring is here, and that means cleaning, yes, but also: new features! This release of Bommer adds several new built-in properties so you can “clean” up your BOM workflow, and introduces the ability to export your BOM directly to a server endpoint or webhook, so you can get your work done fast and be out the door with a hop and a skip. And last but not least, we’ve graduated our Manage Extension property support to public preview. If you use Manage Extension, you can now enable new built-in properties that let you export your item number, revision, and more. Happy Bomming!
NEW:
- New built-in properties for sheet metal parts, to export the thickness and whether or not a part is a sheet metal part.
- New built-in properties for flat pattern bounding box dimensions, and to show if a part has a flat pattern.
- We now support exporting the partial moments of inertia of a component, about the component’s origin.
- Export directly to a server endpoint or webook! The export dialog now lets you select an Export Target, and when you select Server Endpoint you can enter in a url or address.
- Submit feature requests or change requests right in the app! Find our new Request a feature command in the Bommer drop down menu.
CHANGED:
- The Export dialog has been slightly reorganized for clarity.
- The “Properties to export” section of the Export dialog now has a checkbox in the header to select or unselect all properties.
FIXED:
- Fixed a number of issues with formulas and default formulas in your drawing tables, when referenced properties are not included in the tables.
- Fixed counting/summing with properties that reference Quantity as as a default (like Order Quantity).
- Fixed an issue with quantity in flattened drawing table BOMs with excluded/dissolved subassemblies.
- Fixed a Fusion drawings crash caused by Bommer when changing the document units for your drawing. Sorry about that!
- Fixed an issue where our local settings file can become corrupted, which may cause Bommer to fail to start.
- Major performance improvements with our drawings integration, particularly with large models with lots of components. We cleaned out a TON of cobwebs here.
