First release of the summer! This release brings some very highly requested features to Bommer to let you do more work with much less effort. Bommer now lets you filter your BOM when exporting, and we added the ability to set up and save filters within the Edit bill of materials screen. You can also filter the drawing table editor and we’ve added shortcuts to add or remove all “visible” rows in one step. We’ve also completely rewrote the Push edits to linked components logic to let you specify custom version descriptions, and to ensure that every document reference is updated reliably.
NEW:
- Export a filtered BOM! By popular demand, you can now apply a filter to your BOM export to ensure you only export the rows you want to see. Use this to get a list of parts for a specific vendor, a specific process, material, part number prefix; anything you like!
- Saved filters in Edit bill of materials. You can save your current BOM filter for the next time you run Edit bill of materials, or load that saved filter into the Export screen.
- Filter the BOM in the Bommer drawing table editor to quickly access the parts you want to include on your drawings. Use our new short cuts to add or remove all visible rows to a table, to quickly make parts lists for a specific type of part or component.
CHANGED:
- The logic behind pushing edits has been completely overhauled to ensure we edit and update components in the correct order, and also update parents that need to have an updated reference to the part you just edited.
- The Push edits dialog will now show you which designs Bommer has to change in order to properly update references to the latest versions.
- The Edited Designs table in Push Edits now supports per-design version descriptions, so you can specify meaningful descriptions when pushing edits.
- The Push Edits dialog will default to all rows “checked” so you don’t have to check each individual row.
FIXED:
- Previously if you pushed edits to a document you had opened in another tab, Bommer would so helpfully close it for you. It really wants to help, but in this instance we told Bommer to keep its hands to itself.
- Our apologies to all you progress bar dialog aficionados out there, but Bommer now starts up in Fusion Drawings faster and more reliably.
