Bommer has a couple of ways to let you control the visibility of a part or subassembly in your BOM. This guide discusses using the "Part?" property to exclude all descendants of an assembly. To learn how to exclude components from your BOM, click here.
The "Part?" property
Bommer utilizes a built-in Bommer property called "Part?" to determine whether or not descendants of an assembly should be included in the BOM. This property is included in the default set of properties shipped with Bommer (image taken from the Bommer settings form):

Excluding descendants of an assembly from your BOM
To tell Bommer to exclude all descendants of an assembly from your BOM, follow these steps:
- Open the
Edit bill of materials or 
Edit part properties command.
- If you opened the Edit bill of materials command, find the part you want to exclude in the table (using the filters, or just expanding the table to the part)
- If you opened the Edit part properties command, select the part you want to edit in the Fusion 360 design tree
- Find the "Part?" property. By default, it'll be in the General tab; if you changed your properties, it may be called something else, or in a different tab.
- Check the box on the row that corresponds to the subassembly you want to affect. If in the Edit bill of materials command, you should see the
button for that row disappear; if it the row is expanded, you should also see the children of that row disappear. - Click OK.
Why would you want to do this?
It's not uncommon for manufacturers to provide detailed CAD models of their products; in many cases, this might contain more detail (e.g. more components) than you care to see in your BOM. Hiding a subassembly's descendants lets you clean up your BOM so all that remains is a lined item for the purchased part.
