Changing Bommer dimension and mass units for a BOM

Bommer for Fusion will read and utilize the active units that you’ve defined for your design. These units will be used in your edit bill of materials table to ensure your mass properties and dimension properties are consistent with other values and measurements in your design.

Where to change these settings?

These settings are changed in Fusion and read in by Bommer. To change your design’s active units, open the part browser on the left hand side of the Fusion browser, in the Design space. Click on Document Settings, then navigate to Units. Hover over this until you see a button for "Change Active Units". Click on this button to display the Change Active Units dialog.

From this screen, you can change the Unit System. You can select some predetermined settings or scroll down to Custom to allow you to pick independent Length and Mass units.

Press OK to save your preferences. Bommer will then use the selected units when accessing the physical properties in components in your BOM.
