If you are no longer using Bommer, or are having trouble with a particular release of the software, you may wish to uninstall it from your computer. Read on to learn how to remove the program files and application data files completely; we do recommend keeping a backup of the application data files if you anticipate needing Bommer in the future, as those are portable between versions and can save you time when you next need the software.
Uninstalling the program files
To uninstall the add-in program files, you will need to remove the Bommer.bundle folder from the Autodesk Fusion 360 program directory. How to do this depends on which operating system you are using:
Windows
- Click the start button or press the Windows key on your keyboard. In the search bar look for Add or Remove Programs. You can also find it in the Control Panel.
- Once in Add or Remove Programs search for "Bommer" and then click uninstall.
- Open File Explorer and navigate to %AppData%\Autodesk\ApplicationPlugins
- You can type that address into the File Explorer navigation bar, or you can open the Windows Run dialog and paste it in there to open that folder.
- If Bommer.bundle still exists in that folder, drag it to your Recycle bin.
Mac OS/macOS
- Open Finder and browse to /Users/<user>/Library/Application Support/Autodesk/ApplicationPlugins where <user> is the user name you use to log into macOS.
- If Bommer.bundle is there, drag it to your trash can.
- Browse to /Users/<user>/Library/Containers/com.mas.autodesk.fusion360/Data/Library/Application Support/Autodesk/ApplicationPlugins.
- If Bommer.bundle is there, drag it to your trash can.
- If either path does not exist, but the other does, that's ok. This can vary based on whether you are using the Mac App Store version of Fusion 360 or the self-installed version of Fusion 360.
Removing the application data files
Similar to above, this varies depending on which operating system you are using:
Windows
- Open Explorer and browse to %AppData%\..\Local.
- Find the Bommer, LLC folder and drag it to your Recycle Bin.
Mac OS/macOS
- Open Finder and browse to /Users/<user>/Library/Application Support where <user> is the user name you use to log into macOS.
- If Bommer for Fusion 360 is there, drag it to your trash can.
- Browse to /Users/<user>/Library/Containers/com.mas.autodesk.fusion360/Data/Library/Application Support/Autodesk/ApplicationPlugins.
- If Bommer for Fusion 360 is there, drag it to your trash can.
- If either path does not exist, but the other does, that's ok. This can vary based on whether you are using the Mac App Store version of Fusion 360 or the self-installed version of Fusion 360.
