Issue
You have installed a new version of Bommer from the app store installer and it installed over top of an existing installation of Bommer. When you load Bommer/Fusion 360, the older version of Bommer runs instead of the new one, or it fails to load at all.
Solution
- Close Fusion 360
- (If on Windows) Uninstall Bommer via Windows Add/remove software
- Manually delete the Bommer.bundle folder in ApplicationPlugins. Here is a guide on how to find this folder on macOS and Windows.
- Install Bommer from Bommer installer downloaded from the Autodesk App Store.
- Restart Fusion 360
Explanation
When Bommer starts up, it selects the correct version to run from the available versions that have been downloaded to your machine (via in-app updates). In some cases, when uninstalling Bommer via Windows or other means, some old files are left in place and this can cause conflicts when reinstalling from the installer, which in turn can cause Bommer to act unpredictably. In this situation, the best way to recover is to delete all existing program files and then reinstall into a clean folder.
